The My O My park now has a quarter pipe and jumps! The park crew have been working hard to keep the candyland and majestic parks fresh. Time to go get your Peeps Park Pass!
I went to Denver last week to attend the Snowboard Tradeshow, SIA. There buyers and media were shown next years product from all of the major snow companies. I thought Brighton readers might like to see a bit of product from some of our park sponsors so heres some select 2013 goods from Lib Tech, Airblaster, Stepchild, Electric and 32.

The Street Recession .. a pure urban weapon made without metal edges so its catch free on wood or metal. NOT recommended for on hill shredding
Thanks to all these companies for their sponsorship of Brighton’s Terrain Parks
Last night Brighton celebrated its 75th birthday. There was a raffle/giveaways, ice sculpture, smores and fireworks! Plenty came to celebrate and cash in on the 2 for $75 deal the resort had going on. Between the beer, smores, and raffle everyone seemed to be in a good excited mood and the fireworks looked amazing through the light layer of fog that rolled in around 7:15.
A few leftover shots from the Brighton local kids. Say goodbye to this set up though, the snow is finally here and big changes (jumps?) are on the way!

Heres an edit from Friday nights Nike Chosen rail jam on the steps of downtown’s Energy Solutions Arena. Kab rails, who supplies the features in our terrain park, was involved in creating a pretty sick set up. You will see lots of familiar Brighton locals in this edit by Chris Shields including former park crew members Brandon Hobush and Ted “Bundy” Borland. Winner of the jam was current park crew member Parker Worthen. Congrats Parker … now get up here and start digging the jibs out from all this snow!

Saturday Brighton played host to Utah’s Ladies Shred Day event. Ladies Shred Day is a grassroots event that began in 2008 in the mid-west and has since spread across not only North America but into Europe as well. Its a gathering for ladies run by ladies to promote a sense of comraderie and friendship through snowboarding. The ladies met in the morning and lessons were given to those that needed them and the rest of the ladies spent the day riding the mountain, making friends, and learning new tricks. At the end of the day they gathered for raffles and give away and no one left empty handed. If you missed out this season keep you eyes open for next years event once again in January. You can keep up with the Ladies of Ladies Shred Day and see the pictures the ladies took through out the day on their Facebook Page.
