EVENT BREAKDOWN:

We had an amazing turnout of riders at this event, many of the next big pros came to Brighton Resort, to ride in our Solstice Event: Arkade Night

There were several top names, but the winners in each category are as follows:

• Women’s Best All Around: Tina Zahin

• Men’s Best All Around: Lance Machado

• Men’s Best Trick:Collin McCullough

• Women’s Best Trick:Taelor Mattingley

Along with a ton of other incredible riders our Pro Judges; Chris Coulter, and Forrest Shearer had a hard time deciding who to hook up.

Along with the $1000, in cash prizes, we held a huge A#* raffle, with a ton of shizzle to give away. Prizes Included Gear from: NIKITA,who sent us several top end jackets, and an awesome pair of Instrumental Pants, along with cash for the grand prize, ROSSIGNOL set up a couple of riders with complete snowboard packages, K2 gave away a brand new board, and we had tons of gear from KADIA, QUIKSILVER, LENITECH, S4, Happy Rabbit Skate Shop, MILOSPORT, BURTON, and Zotes Sunflower seeds, who sent all the riders home with handfulls of seeds. Special Thanks to BRIGHTON and the KAB Rails Team for making the event a success, the Truth against Tobacco; for their cash donation, and REDBULL, for sending out their team with the, huge pop-up tent, and arch, which helped keep us out of the two degree weather. But most of all Thanks to all of the riders that came and threw down in the super cold weather, That’s what it’s all about!

The park crew wanted to give you all something for Christmas..We have been working super hard in the last few days. We set up the Truth Quarter Pipe stall rail, a box line and have been working on the triple jump line in MY O MY. In the Candy land park we fixed the entrance and put up some boxes and also a 15′ table top jump. The Majestic park we have added the 30′ down city rail and left the set up from the Arkade rail jam up. The park is super fun and is only going to get better. Hopefully in the next few days we will be able to get more small jumps up. Until then have fun with the new snow and new jib lines. Mary Christmas 

Arkade Magazine Hosted a night “jam format” competition on Friday night. The sun went down and the lights above the Terrain Park evenly lit up three obstacles that riders could choose from. After a few hours of hiking back up to the top of the course and dropping back in in attempts to “one up” their peers, the riders and spectators enjoyed a firework show that was lit off from the parking lot of Brighton in celebration of the Winter Solstice.Check out some of the photos and keep your eye out for even more firework pics and a write up in the next issue of Arkade Magazine

The Nitro team came to Brighton to hook the peeps up with some amazing riding and a quality BBQ. Check it out.

The wonderful brighton park crew got the old Milly lift poles up and going. If u have hit these u agree there the sweetest things in the park and if u havent hit them ur missin out. Check out a couple Jesse Anderson photos from it.

This is going to be a lot of fun. It’s a chance to ride with the Nitro Pro team and show them your skills. Plus a chance to win some free stuff from Nitro, L1, Ahsbury and High Cascade. Its free and all you need is a lift ticket.
