Niche Tailgate Party

Today at Brighton Niche Snowboards held their 10% demo 90% tailgate party. Wieners were fresh off the grill and there was plenty of food to go around, along with boards to demo.

Everest Arnold ya’ll

)Name: Everest Arnold

)DOB: 8/14/90

)How Long Have You Been riding: 15 yrs

)Favorite Terrain: Big Mountain when its snowing or just snowed, park when its blue bird. Unless it just snowed.

)Current Board: Burton Hero-Park, GNU Riders Choice-Big Mountain

)First Board: I started out on a Liquid w/liquid bindings

)Stance: 15 degree front -15 back, 22in wide

)What are your summer plans: Going to Windells for the summer. Acquired assistant head digger job, park is going to be the sickest its ever been better make it up there this summer ya’ll.

)Contests this year: Wasn’t able to compete in as many contests as usual due to some unfortunate injuries but the ones i did were 32 day, volcom Pb&j, and campus rail jam tour

)Best day of the season: Best day this season would have to be the day i got to ride after being out for 4 weeks due to a fractured scapula, fractured rib, and partially collapsed lung. Went out on a 3 foot pow day, 4 weeks later came back on a 3 foot pow day couldn’t have asked for anything better.

)Favorite animal: Has to be my dog Benny. Little Shit.

)Furthest i have traveled to ride: Got to go to Mount Snow Vermont at the expense of Gatorade Free Flow Tour. Made me realize i never wanted to ride on the East Coast again.

)Hurting back a few weeks ago: This was another scary incident this year, i was out of bounds off Millicent, across the bowl at a cliff called slant rock some 40 ft cliff and as i went off clipped a rock at the top, sent me backseat, and apparently landed straight on my back on a rock. Don’t remember exactly what happened cause i suffered a concussion that took me to the hospital. All healed and riding 100%.

)ANy fun trips this season: Me and my buddy Treyson took a trip to CO and rode Keystone and Breck. Keystone’s park is hella flocka and you need to scope that status.

)How long been digging: Finished up my fourth year at Brighton, and going on my third year at Windells.

)Favorite color: Blue

)Favorite thing about snowboarding: the freedom to do what ever you want to do on a huge mountain in the middle of the wilderness. Couldn’t ask for anything else, except maybe a 3 foot pow day would be nice.

)Sponsors: POW Gloves, Slick Willies Banana Wax, ThirtyTwo Brighton Terrain Park BURRRR!

)Shoutouts: Wonderful Mother, Girlfriend Jordan, Brighton Diggers, Windells Diggers, Sam, Treyson, Jared, and everyone else that has helped me in some way shape or form, my list would be too long.
