Well the day has finally come. After about six months of waiting Brighton is open once again. Jibs were set up, the snow was fresh and of course our Veterans were honored with free passes today. Thanks for everything you do you guys (and gals)! Here are a few shots from today in case you missed out…

So if you didn’t make it to the Heavy Metal Rail Jam you kind of missed out. How often do you get to ride/ski in a Halloween costume? Not very often. The first snow had fallen a few days prior, and the left overs called for some jammin.’ Only contest included a best costume, otherwise it was a just a good kick off to the season with buttery jibs set up by the best. Here are a few photos in case you missed out.

Costume Contest Contestants. It was a difficult decision because all of the costumes were hilarious.

Join us this Saturday for a Brighton Heavy Metal Halloween Party. Were going to set up a small park in front of the Alpine Rose. Jam session and costume contest! Event starts at 11 and goes as long as the snow holds up. Entry is free, Skiers and Boarders are welcome. Prizes for the dressing up like your favorite rock star and getting gnarly on the jibs…

Neff and Brighton Resort team up for season ending Beach Bash…
Come one come all and join Neff as they present the Beach Bash at Brighton Resort on April 17th. Neff has teamed up with Brighton on their last official Saturday of the season to bring you Beach Bash 2010 Rail Jam. The Jam will consist of a variety of features to test your skills over a massive pit of Beach Balls. It is a jam format, 3 divisions; crazy prize packs with $500.00 cash for the open class winner. The event is free to enter as long as you have a season pass or lift ticket. DJ Knuckles will be spinning beats all day long to go along with the Beach Carnival and Fashion Show. Look out for the Neff Celebrity Judges and come up and end your season proper at the Neff Beach Bash!

Red Bull Butter Cup is a contest series that showcases creativity in technical flatland trickery. Born in the northeast in 2009 and bred for the country in 2010, it’s all about going back to the basics of what made us all fall in love with shredding in the first place: FUN!

Butter up and cut loose on the custom Red Bull butter pads and bring your bag of tricks. Style and creativity is the name of the game and the competition is hot so the cream will rise to the top. The jam session format keeps the action flowing while riders battle for cash and fresh gear. Only trick sequences that include buttering will count so hit the snow and start polishing your skills. Check the events list for a stop in your area and get ready to spread it on!
