801 vs 435 slopestyle event wrap up

The 801 vs. 435 contest went off in Brighton this past weekend. The weather was perfect for a little park session with the crew. Although they were outnumbered, the 435 group was victorious and won the point battle with great skiing from dudes like Kevin Malone, Chance Wilson, Jeff Kiesel, Alex Rogers and more. The 801 group was made up of skiers such as, Eric Balken, Cody Prows, Xan Mitkus, Adam Henry, Ian Wade, Shayne Metos, Paul Braunstein, Walter Shearon to name a few.

The Best Crash Award went out to James Wadsworth who ended up breaking his collarbone on a flat 540 – we hope he heals up quick!!
Everyone who participated walked away with loads of swag from Skullcandy, Autumn Garage, Discrete, Surface, POC,Monster Energy Drink and Joystick. A huge thanks goes out to those sponsors as well as Brighton and their park crew for all of their hard work, snowmobile rides and good vibes. Until next year!

Dave Brewer is one of Snowboarder.com’s close friends- a regular contributor and slice of SLC. We’re embarking on an uncertain and interesting time in Snowboard Photography, but we puff our chests out and call shannigans to all that non-sense to bring you Dave Brewer’s Top 10 fav’s from his 2008 year. Dave loves Snowboarding- so do we. It’s graceful and simple, and it’s why we are here. Please…. Enjoy.
