Park Crew Profiles… Meet Everest Arnold

The Brighton Terrain Park Crew is a group of hard working guys that get up early and stay out late to make sure you have a great time in all five of our parks. We thought you would like to get to know a little bit of information about each of the guys so we will be putting up profiles over the course of the season. A day with Sky Seabrook

So I know we’re all bummed on the lack of snow mother nature has provided us with. There’s nothing wrong with sunny park laps all day, but we just want pow. But since we don’t have any snow Sky Seabrook and I went out to find the natural features before they are buried. Or, let’s hope they’ll be buried soon. Look for this kid in an upcoming ad in Arcade for S4.

Park edits to round out 2011

Well it’s no secret that the snow gods have been less than favorable to everyone to start the 11/12 season. Hopefully 2012 will bring us lots of pow days to help us forget November and December. In the meantime enjoy a look back on a few of the recent early season edits made at Brighton Resort. At Brighton we are very proud to have some amazing terrain for pow days but we are also proud that when the pow is hard to find you can venture into one of our five parks and have a great time as well. Whether its winning Yobeat People’s Court battles, on Strapdup.com where 2 of the 5 edits in their best pre-season edit contest are of Brighton, part of the Nike Chosen series , big company spot checks, or just edits from our awesome locals the Brighton Parks are all over the internet. Thanks to Jared, Mouse, Ben, and the entire park crew who work early mornings and late nights to make the parks a great place to ride.

Red Bull Butter Cup Recap [updated, more photos]

This past weekend was the third annual Red Bull Butter Cup competition up at Brighton Resort. As always the style was upper level but so was the carnage. Park Crew members Chris Cloud, Parker Worthen, and Marty Siller served as judges for this years competition and they did not have an easy task. Brighton is proud to be chosen by Red Bull to not only kick off the 2011/2012 schedule but also to be the only venue in the Western U.S. We caught up with local Red Bull rep Jordan Schweitzer to get the low down on whats up…

” It’s our third year at Brighton doing the Butter Cup and its a super fun event where we generally get over one hundred entries. It’s for riders of all levels from amateurs through super good almost pros. There’s really something for everyone and good vibe not really about who wins but how much fun you have along the way”

Special thanks to Red Bull for not only allowing Brighton Resort to once again host this event but also for allowing us to keep the boxes. That’s right kids get your butter on all season long on these babies because they are ours now!
